I added a password to our wireless network, and I can connect to it fine on my laptop, and our two other computers. But on one when I click on View Wireless Networks, there is nothing there. And when I take away the password, it connects automatically. And it still shows that there are no wireless networks available. Is there a way I can connect to the network manually?How to manually connect to a network on Windows XP?
If it's not showing up, you are probably changing a setting on the router about broadcasting, or in layman's terms, ';I'm not here!';
If you go into View Wireless Networks, there should be a link on the left for ';Change the Order';. A new window will show up, which will include an ';Add'; button. The rest should be easy enough.How to manually connect to a network on Windows XP?
Uh, does your network have a name? Also I think if you input the settings after pressing the 'start' button then going to Connect To%26gt;Show All Connections there should be settings, but I don't really know. What are you using for your wireless network? Linksys, Netgear, Belkin? And what about the frequency? That may or may not have an impact on it.
