How can i connect to the internet in a wireless network?

My brother has verizon fios internet in one room of the house while i only have a wireless adapter from netgear in mine. The adapter picks up signals from six wireless networks nearby but I don't know the key to connect to either of the networks. I want internet on my computer but don't know their network keys, what should i do?How can i connect to the internet in a wireless network?

Well if they have a secure network i.e. they have a wep key that allows them to access the internet then you cannot access it without the correct wep key. If you ask nicely they may let you use their internet. Best of Luck:)
Go out and buy a wireless router and connect it to your internet service providers modem that they furnish and set up your own wireless network.


Without you knowing there username and password it is impossible for you to connect to those others you see.
Yes get a router..and if you buy linksys box..Cal the 800 number and they will set it up for you..for FREE..and if you ever change and go somewhere else...They have all the codes etc. in their records and they can reset it up again for FREE...all they need is your telephone number..Really a super company..
