If you have the network key, then the same key should work for other devices too.
It sounds like you need a 3G router.
...WHO is your ISP...they will best help you...otherwise...if you are connected to the wireless network...you already have the ';WIRELESS NETWORK NAME'; or also known as ';SSID';...and then to connect to it you will need to have the correct ';WIRELESS NETWORK KEY'; or ';WEP KEY';(it just means password for your wireless network)...with that...your handheld device and laptop WILL be able to connect as your computer is able to already connect to the wireless network...then all you would need to do is connect your laptop and wireless device...the wireless network is already connected as you are CONNECTED to it with your PC...
If you mean the provider supplies the wireless signal direct, this is not ideal for sharing. The only way is to set up a second network card in the connected machine. Then set up internet connection sharing on the wireless connection. Use the Network connection wizard for this. Then all other machines connect through the main machine. A router will NOT work with such a service.
Brandon's answer was probably the best, but lacked some detail if you haven't heard of a 3G router.

There are routers out there that will take a 3G wireless USB modem and give you a standard local wifi signal, the same as you would have if you used DSL/Cable/etc.

Here is an example, but do your research, there are many models to choose from:

Buy a wirelss router (like a Belkin brand or similar), you can plug it into your 'rental' which you likely are renting from your cable company or phone company. You can plug multiple ethernet devices into it (such as your PC) AND you can access the wireless network with any of your WiFi devices. The wireless router that you purchase will come with step by step instructions as well as a CD with an automatic installation wizard program. It's very easy, try it.
Follow the instruction on the link below, its step by step howto on setting up secured wireless network
