One laptop has XP. One has Vista. Although both detect wireless networks in the vicinity, neither picks up the other. Have tried the network wizard on both systems without success. Found that XP didnt have Link layer topology discovery responder so downloaded that. Any suggestions for downloads or updates to fix this issue? Has anyone else had similar situation with an easy fix?How do I set up a wireless network btwn laptops without router using XP and Vista?
do you want them to communicate with each other? or just wireless? you need a router to send signal to each. not quite such what you are trying. i have xp and vista and use a router the only way it could be done.
