How do I add a computer BACK into the home network after being disconnected and repaired?

The computer was the primary member of a home network of 3 computers in total and had the printers and scanner connected to it.

It was disconnected and Windows XP re installed, now I need to put it back into the network as the primary computer.

The basic instructions for setting up a network are not all that clear OR maybe I have to start from scratch with ALL 3 computers? How do I add a computer BACK into the home network after being disconnected and repaired?
I'm assuming you have a router and it automatically assigns IP addresses. If it does not, get a hold of the geek that set the system up the first time.

On the computer, open network connections and right click on the LAN icon.

Goto properties and select TCP/IP in the popup

click properties

make sure that the radio button ';obtain IP address automatically is selected. If not select it

Now connect the computer to the router using an Ethernet patch cord

Got to start%26gt;run%26gt;type in ';cmd'; and press enter

you get a DOS window

enter ipcofig /all

verify you have an IP address

you should now be able to access the internet

now install the printer and scanner using the install disks

If you want to share the printer, enable sharing and set them up on the other machines
